Our Story

Ash Kitchen Handmade was born in 2016 inside a tiny rented studio in Quezon City, not in a big factory, but in a humble kitchen where love, desperation, and a bit of stubbornness mixed together like soap batter.

One of our founders, Gina, had battled mild psoriasis for years. Her skin was so sensitive that most commercial skincare felt like an enemy, not a cure. The few products that worked were so expensive, she had to choose between healthy skin and a healthy wallet. One day, she decided, 'Why not make my own?'

Armed with passion, late-night research, and membership in every soap-making hobby group she could find, Gina started experimenting. Her first willing “guinea pig”? Her husband. Batch after batch, they tested every bar until the formula finally felt like home to her skin.

The name tells our journey: “Ash” comes from the traditional ash used to make lye water, a primary ingredient in soap. “Kitchen” because that’s where it all began, with pots, pans, and dreams. “Handmade” because every bar is crafted by hands that care, using nature’s gifts with the tenderness only a labor of love can give.

From those first bars to today’s full line, Ash Kitchen Handmade has always been about more than skincare. We make products that don’t bully your skin into submission, but nurture it, love it, and let it thrive.
